This is the first episode in a two-part series on trauma. In this episode, we'll be exploring the ins and outs of trauma—a more inclusive definition of what trauma is, how it occurs, why it gets stored in the body, and the stages we must move through in order to release it.
We'll also discuss the very likely possibility, based on new understandings of trauma physiology, that most (if not all) of us have unresolved trauma stored in the body and how our most limiting patterns, behaviors, habits, and beliefs might actually be symptoms of unresolved trauma rather than personality quirks.
